Applying for a job

There are certain things you need to know before applying for a job. If you are not a UK citizen, for example, you'll need to know what rules and regulations apply to you in getting a job. If you want to come to the UK to work, whether you can do so depends on who you are. Unless you're a British citizen or a citizen of one of the European Economic Area (EEA) countries, or Switzerland, you may need a visa before you travel here. Find out whether or not you will need a visa and what restrictions may be placed upon that visa.
