Adding terms and conditions to your website
Your business should set out any applicable standard terms and conditions of supply on your site and provide a clearly signposted link so that customers can locate them easily. You should ensure that the terms and conditions of supply are incorporated in customer contracts by having the customer tick a checkbox acknowledging that they accept these terms. They should not be able to proceed to order unless they have accepted your terms and conditions. You might similarly have the customer acknowledge that they accept your privacy policy. For more information, see our Privacy policy section.
If you are running a business that trades over the internet, there are a number of acts and regulations that you need to comply with. See 'Laws applying to online sales' for more information.
