The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (referred to here as the 'distance selling regulations') don't apply to all distance selling contracts. There are a number of exemptions to the distance selling regulations.

The regulations don't apply to contracts:
Distance selling contracts that are exempt from the right to cancel under the regulations
The distance selling regulations don't give you the right to cancel certain contracts. These include contracts:
1. Concluded at a public auction;
2. Where the price is subject to fluctuations in the financial markets;
3. For the supply of goods that are likely to deteriorate or expire quickly;
4. For personalised goods or goods made to a customer's specifications; or
