The Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013 (RIDDOR) requires employers and the self-employed who control their own work premises to report work-related accidents, diseases and dangerous occurrences to the Health and Safety Executives (HSE, and HSENI in Northern Ireland).
Reporting obligations
You need to report:
Deaths
Diseases
Dangerous occurrences
Death or major injury in connection with liquefied petroleum gas
'Specified' injuries (in the England, Wales and Scotland) or 'major' injuries (in Northern Ireland)
Work-related injuries resulting in a worker being incapacitated (unable to function) for over 7 consecutive days for England, Wales and Scotland or 3 consecutive days for Northern Ireland
